英語等級考試級別劃分

PETS－1：一級是初始級，其考試要求略高于初中畢業生的英語水平（PETS－1B是全國英語等級考試的附屬級）。

PETS－2：二級是中下級，相當于普通高中優秀畢業生的英語水平（此級別筆試合格成績可替代自學考試專科階段英語（一）、文憑考試基礎英語考試成績）。

PETS－3：三級是中間級，相當于我國學生高中畢業后在大專院校又學了兩年公共英語或自學了同等程度英語課程的水平。（此級別筆試合格成績可替代自學考試本科階段英語（二）考試成績。）
